Before You Start:
- Make sure the probe cover is attached properly.
- For best accuracy, measure 3 times in the same ear and choose the highest reading.
Steps:
1. Turn On
Press the ON/MEM button.
The screen will light up and you will hear 2 beeps when ready.
2. Place in the Ear
Gently insert the probe into the ear, pointing toward the eardrum.
- Lightly pull the ear backward to straighten the ear canal.
- Do not force the probe inside.
- Make sure it fits snugly for an accurate result.
Important:
Holding the thermometer too long before measuring may affect accuracy.
3. Start Measuring
Press the START button.
- The result appears in 1 second.
- You will hear a long beep when finished.
4. Check the Result
Remove the thermometer and read the temperature.
- If the temperature is above 37.5°C (99.5°F), you will hear 3 extra beeps (fever alert).
- Wait 5 seconds before taking another measurement.
5. Turn Off
Press and hold the ON/MEM button until “OFF” appears.
- The reading is saved automatically.
- The device turns off automatically after 1 minute.
Measuring a Baby’s Temperature
- Lying baby: Gently support the baby’s body.
- Sitting baby: Support the child and gently pull the ear backward before measuring.
- If the ear is small, do not force the probe inside. Just cover the ear opening properly.
