What should I do if my child swallows the battery?
If you think your child has swallowed or inserted a battery, seek medical attention immediately. Do not wait for symptoms to appear.
Button batteries can cause serious internal injuries, including chemical burns and damage to soft tissues. They can also be a choking hazard. Keep batteries away from children, especially those under 3 years old.
If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the meter and keep it out of children's reach. Contact Accu-Chek Customer Care for assistance.
